About CICHART and the concept
featuring ART DECO

The Art of Shaping Time.

Art Deco brought a distinctive elegance to the modern world. Clear geometry, precious materials and balanced proportions shaped art, architecture and jewelry. Beauty emerged through the interplay of details—in forms whose appeal endures today.

This design philosophy inspires the CICHART 104. Its circular silhouette, shimmering mother-of-pearl and carefully balanced elements unite the elegance of a jewelry ring with the precision of a watch. Every line and proportion contributes to a harmonious whole.

The rotating and tilting case carries this idea into the present. It reveals new perspectives on the piece, allowing light, material and form to create a different impression with every movement.

With the CICHART 104, we express our vision of wearable art: timeless elegance born of clarity in design and meticulous craftsmanship. Created to be worn, admired and discovered anew.

It all started with a lamp

Looking at the ball joint of a GRAS lamp sparked an unusual idea: a movable connection that positions a lampshade could also support a decorative element on a ring. This observation became the starting point for the development of the CICHART 104.

The fascination lay in the interplay of movement, precision and form. Bringing this engineering principle to the scale of a jewelry ring opened up new design possibilities. On the CICHART 104, the watch head can rotate and tilt, creating a piece of jewelry whose orientation can be adjusted.

Its design language draws on the elegance of Art Deco. Clean lines, balanced proportions and the thoughtful combination of geometry and ornament create an aesthetic in which technical refinement and beauty come together.

The CICHART 104 connects a personal discovery with a design ambition: to create beautiful objects that impress through their form and surprise through their function.

The Masterclass of Micromechanics: A Completely New Watch Category

With the CICHART ring watch, we have created a completely new watch category—the jewelry watch in ring form. It is not a mere miniaturization of a wristwatch, but a masterpiece that meets the highest demands of design, ergonomics, and micromechanics.

Uncompromising Quality Over Mass Production
While cheap alternatives often use elastic bands that uncomfortably constrict blood circulation, our ring watch is based exclusively on solid, real rings. This commitment to ultimate wearing comfort comes with a massive logistical challenge: custom-fit models must be pre-produced for every single ring size.

Large watch manufacturers shy away from exactly this effort. They avoid the inventory risk of countless ring sizes, the cost-intensive manual assembly of tiny components, and the departure from their standardized one-size-fits-all production lines. CICHART fills this gap, proving that mechanical refinement is not a matter of size.

Technological Highlights in the Smallest of Spaces:

  • The Mechanism: A unique, robust stainless steel case that can be rotated 360 degrees and tilted 30 degrees.
  • The Signature Feature: A striking red crown with a centrally placed stone makes every watch unmistakable at first glance.
  • The Core: A high-quality Swiss quartz or automatic movement drives the delicate, Super-LumiNova-coated hands.
  • The Materials: Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, set with a choice of crystals, brilliant-cut diamonds, or gemstones.
  • The Dial: An elegant mother-of-pearl dial whose natural texture makes every single watch a true one-of-a-kind piece.

The Designer

Conventional wristwatches bored me. Not their movements — those I admire. But their form. For over a century, the wristwatch has only evolved in its dial, materials, or caliber. The object itself remained identical, worn at the exact same place.

I am not a watchmaker. I am a designer and a visionary.

The pivotal revolutions in horological history were never conceived from within the industry, but through an unbiased perspective from the outside. Those who merely iterate on the familiar only repeat the past. My objective was never just another dial on a wrist, but a conscious departure from a century-old convention: the creation of an entirely new category of timepieces — the haute joaillerie ring watch.

With the CICHART 104, time moves from the wrist to the finger. A seamless synthesis of Swiss precision engineering, innovative rotational mechanics, and fine jewelry craftsmanship, turning time from a mere display into wearable art.

Why 104?

Because great ideas don’t come on the first try. Behind the number 104 lie more than 1,000 designs, sketches, and technical developments. 104 prototypes were built, tested, modified, and reimagined time and again. The 104th prototype was the moment when a vision became reality.

It was the first design that fully realized our idea: a rotating and tilting ring watch that combines time and jewelry into a new whole. That’s why it doesn’t have a fanciful name. It carries its own story. 104.
